The Xbox Countdown sale 2022 has arrived, and if you’re planning on picking up a few discounted Xbox games, don’t forget to activate the new Countdown sale punch card to earn some sweet Microsoft Rewards Points.
This year’s Xbox Countdown sale is huge, with nearly 1,000 discounts across Xbox games, DLC expansions, bundles, and more. As a little sweetener, a new Countdown Sale punch card has gone live in the Microsoft Rewards app, offering a good chunk of Microsoft Rewards Points for purchasing items included in the sale.
Earn 2,500 Rewards Points with the Countdown sale 2022 punch card
You’ll find the new punch card in your Microsoft Rewards app on your Xbox console. From now through to January 2nd, 2023, you can earn up to 2,500 Microsoft Rewards Points when you spend £45 (or your regional equivalent) on items included in the Xbox Countdown sale. Microsoft notes that this is only valid for digital purchases from the Microsoft Store on Xbox, Windows, or online.
To activate the punch card, you’ll need to first find it in the Microsoft Rewards app on your Xbox. Next, you’ll need to complete the ‘Countdown Sale Games’ and ‘Countdown Sale Movies’ options by selecting them. After those are completed, any Countdown sale purchases you make will count towards the £45 needed to earn the 2,500 Microsoft Rewards Points.
The 2,500 Points are worth a couple of pounds/dollars, and while it’s not the biggest incentive in the world, it’s better than nothing, especially if you were planning on picking up a few things anyway.
