In this month’s community update by Ubisoft, the what-seemed-to-be-forgotten game, Riders Republic, is finally addressed with, “No, Riders Republic is not abandoned.”
In fact, new content is on its way from leaderboards to new weekly challenges and rewards. While Grand Opening and Winter Bash have come and gone, right now players can enjoy the Showdown season. Next will be the Summer Break which will release mid-July, and the next season to follow will be the BMX season with no official date as of yet. Players should also be excited to hear that with the BMX season, riders will now be able to perform wheelies, stoppies, and manuals as a part of combos for additional points.
On June 15, players can join in on the next brand-new Mass Races experience. Then, in July, players can enjoy Mass Races with fixed gear, Warrior Mass Races with special obstacles, and a special no-collision Mass Race event as well.
In the community update Ubisoft also explains why user created tracks are being deleted without notice. Ubisoft explains that Riders Republic takes form in the open world of the game, so if a player created a track that went through the Showdown arena, the update would then have said track deleted. Ubisoft does address, however, that the auto-detection system was too overzealous, and will adjust the system so that this problem hopefully happens less often. Continuing on the point of user created tracks, the algorithm has also been adjusted to hopefully result in fewer warning emails and bans.
In exciting news, Ubisoft has shared a first look at the upcoming Leaderboards. Players will now be able to browse through the performances of the community as well as have the ability to select a ghost and ride against it with no collisions.
If players are eagerly waiting to hear more on the topic of BMX, they will have to wait a bit longer. However, news should come soon as the release of BMX draws closer.
