A modern sequel to Dreamcast’s Jet Set Radio may never truly exist, but the radical funktastic torch is borne on by Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, which channels early-2000s vibes with its skatefunk-graffiti-punk, or a new genre we’re going to affectionately call “funkpunk”.
The new trailer, like all the trailers before it, focuses on the sun-drenched colours and vibrant street art of Bomb Rush’s alleyways, along with a new song from the game’s composer Hideki Naganuma, who was also the composer for Jet Set Radio.
Check out the trailer above, but don’t blame us if you can’t stop watching it. We’ve watched it five times already.
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk comes to Switch as a launch console exclusive in 2022.
