Tecno is a brand that has been gaining track in developing markets lately, and it is banking on its success with teasing yet another smartphone. A phone called Tecno Spark 8C popped up on the company website in Nigeria, with some key features, but is still missing a full specs sheet, launch date or market price and availability.
The screen of the Spark 8C will be a 6.6” HD+ panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate, and we can safely assume it is an LCD. The fingerprint scanner is on the back of a rectangular island next to the dual cameras. The setup might mislead some to have three shooters, but it is actually one main 13 MP, and the other, while unlisted, we assume is a 2 MP depth sensor. The selfie shooter is 8 MP.
The phone is listed with “2/3 GB RAM” and a feature called Memory Fusion. In theory, it is supposed to use some of the storage (64 GB in the Spark 8C) as a file dump to act as some extra RAM – whether the phone has 2 GB RAM, is expandable to 3 GB, or has two memory options, both expandable, we’re yet to learn.
The phone does have a 5,000 mAh battery, packed in a 164.57 x 76 x 8.9 mm body. Other listed specs include NFC, Super Boost feature, SoPlay music mixer and support for DTS Stereo. Tecno will sell the Spark 8C in four colors – Turquoise, Black, Purple, and Grey.
