When I pick a song, the picture for the custom theme initially shows but then when the song starts it only shows the notes with a black screen. I am pretty sure I had this problem before on the previous Iphone which was exactly the same model and ios version but I don’t remember how I fixed it. I am running Ios 10.3.4 on Iphone 5.
