There’s much more to Octopath Traveler than figuring out how to solve A Gambling Man or other side quests – like discovering secondary job locations in Octopath Traveler II.
Secondary jobs are a way to expand the weaponry and skills each character uses in battle, which will help you win tough boss battles.
But what do they offer, and where can you find them? Luckily they’re not difficult to find, though you won’t be able to unlock some of them until later in the game.
If you’re ready to turn your party into a force to be reckoned with, then don’t go anywhere because I’m about to reveal all secondary job locations in Octopath Traveler II!
What Are Secondary Jobs In Octopath Traveler II?
I doubt it surprises anyone to know that there are eight secondary jobs (not including secret jobs). These consist of:
- Apothecary
- Cleric
- Dancer
- Hunter
- Merchant
- Scholar
- Thief
- Warrior
Seeing this list, you might feel underwhelmed – you already have characters with these jobs, why do you need more? You see, if you have Osvald as a Scholar and Merchant he can use polearms, bows, and staves, essentially giving him two sets of skills to rely.
Of course, for these secondary jobs to be of maximum benefit, you need to have the right job combinations for reach character. But we’ll get into that in another guide…
Secondary Job Locations In Octopath Traveler II
Now you know the job titles, it’s time to locate them on that Solistia map. Just be prepared to fight some tough enemies on your travels!
Apothecary – Conning Creek

Within the small harbour town of Conning Greek, on the eastern continent, you’ll find the Apothecary Guild. Look for the house with two windowsill flower pots outside, just down a set of steps in the town centre.
Cleric – Borderfall

Borderfall can be found just outside of Flamechurch, on the way to Montwise. Given its placement, it’s advisable your party is Level 14 or above. You’ll find the church where the Cleric Guild resides up a set of steps, slightly off the beaten path.
Dancer – Wellgrove

Given the fact that Agnea is a Dancer from Cropdale, it’s not much of a surprise that the Dancer Guild is in Wellgrove, just to the southwest of her hometown. To make sure enemies don’t KO, level up until you’re roughly Level 16+.
Hunter – Western Tropu’hopu Traverse

The road to Tropu’hopu, which is where you’ll find the Hunter Guild, is dangerous. Due to the Danger Level of the area, don’t venture this way until you’re Level 28 or higher.
Merchant – Western Crackridge Wilds

Fancy having another Merchant on the team? Then head to the Merchant Guild just outside of Crackridge, along the Western Crackridge Wilds. Just be careful of enemies, as the ones here are Level 28+.
Scholar – Western Winterbloom Snows

To the west of Winterbloom, up a high mountain, is where you’ll find the Scholar Guild. I hate to sound like a broken record, but this is another area where the Danger Level is 28, so come prepared.
Thief – Clockbank

If deception and stealth is your game, you’ll want to visit Thief Guild in Clockbank. When you reach Clockbank, go to the Industrial Distract and keep going left until you find an archway with some stairs; follow them down until you find a concealed entrance.
Warrior – Sai

Given the fact that Hikari is a Warrior and heralds from the Hinoeuma region, it probably won’t shock anyone to learn the Warrior Guild is also found in Hinoeuma, in the village of Sai. The enemies here are challenging, meaning you want to visit once your’re Level 28+.
What is it about Level 28 in this game? No matter, at least you now know all the secondary job locations in Octopath Traveler II. May your newfound skills bring you victory in battle!
If you want to get from one side of Solistia to the other as quickly as possible, the easiest way to do it is to learn how to get your own ship.
