Ubisoft has announced that the console release of The Settlers: New Allies has been delayed indefinitely and will no longer launch this week as previously planned.
Despite being only days away from launch, Ubisoft has indefinitely delayed The Settlers: New Allies for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. No new release date has been announced.
The Settlers: New Allies delayed on Xbox
Originally down to launch on March 23rd, Ubisoft confirmed The Settlers: New Allies delay on Twitter, saying, “In order to ensure the best possible experience for players, we have decided to delay the launch of The Settlers: New Allies on console. We thank you for your continued support and will share more details in the near future.”
After several delays, The Settlers: New Allies launched on PC in February, where the real-time strategy game was met with mixed reviews from critics, largely down to its lack of depth and tedious gameplay. As it stands, The Settlers: New Allies sits with a 59 Metascore over on Metacritic.
What do you make of the delay? Where you looking forward to playing this one this week? Let us know.
