Lots of kids dream of becoming firefighters. They’re brave, get to work around fire (even if they’re trying to put it out), and put out those calendars suburban ladies buy every year. They’re also just kind of awesome because of that whole saving lives thing, but I don’t think they’re generally known for getting rich off the gig.
Still, if you’d like to live the dream of being a firefighter while avoiding the actual danger and pretending it could possibly make you lots of money in the process, you might want to take a peek at Embr, a multiplayer firefighting sim from developer Muse Games and publisher Curve Digital – which is now available on Xbox via Gamepass. It was already available on Steam.
In Embr, players can team up with their friends to put out burning buildings, rescue people, and save anything inside the buildings that can be saved. You can play the game solo but firefighting tends to work best in teams so it’s probably more ideal to grab three buddies and have them help. It’s not just a matter of putting out the fires either. Players have to make their way into buildings through locked doors, security features, and more. But, if you’re good at it, you’ll attract wealthy customers and make a lot of money – that you can then turn into gear that will make you an even better firefighter.
Embr is available on multiple platforms for $19.99 but is free for Xbox Players with Gamepass.
