Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard continues to be hotly debated — Activision Blizzard has slammed the FTC, while Microsoft targeted concerns about exclusivity deals with the claim that Sony has “exclusion” agreements to keep games like FF7 Remake from Xbox — and in its response to the FTC, Microsoft happened to reveal that three future ZeniMax games — presumably Bethesda titles — could be Xbox and PC exclusives.

Microsoft’s response raises the subject while arguing that the FTC’s reference to Microsoft’s ZeniMax acquisition “has no relevance to the current transaction.” It’s here that Microsoft gets to the more interesting bit: “Xbox anticipates that three future titles… all of which are designed to be played primarily alone or in small groups — will be exclusive to Xbox and PCs.” It’s likely that this refers to Bethesda’s upcoming lineup — we already know Starfield and Redfall will be Xbox exclusives, but it’s interesting to speculate on what those other two titles could be, such as the next Elder Scrolls game.
