In news that’s probably not shocking to anyone because that’s just how game development works sometimes, Mad World developer Jandisoft revealed that it will not be making the promised December launch. That’s not to say the company hasn’t been steadily progressing on development. In fact, they’ve completed the release version and have even made improvements to the battle and overall balance systems in the game. But things still have to be done, according to an answer provided in the developer AMA on the game’s site.
Currently, the developer is working on a few things. These include preparing for testing and services. The developer is also working on the first bit update to be dropped following the game’s release. This will cover Chapter 6, Part 2 to Chapter 6, as well as a raid. They’re also working on guild functionality and a Steam version among other things. The developer has not determined whether or not they will be dropping the Steam version at the same time as the regular version yet.
In additional news, Jandisoft also dropped a new story video for the game. This one covers an ancient Shaman who apparently absorbed the citizens of an entire village after his grave surfaced from the ocean.
