Last week, 343 Industries said it was investigating achievement issues with Halo Infinite and warned players against using the Quick Resume feature on Xbox series X|S after players began reporting that cosmetics unlocked through the game’s campaign weren’t showing in their multiplayer inventories. Now, achievements and the Quick Resume issue have received fixes.
According to the update’s patch notes, achievement reliability “has been improved” and they should unlock as normal when their requirements are met. However, 343 notes that “achievements no longer track progress toward their completion,” so if you’ve noticed that your achievement tracker/progress hasn’t moved after installing the update, this would be why. 343 Industries hasn’t said when this feature will be coming back. The developer also notes that achievements that did not unlock correctly for players after meeting their requirements, should now unlock after installing this update and carrying on with the campaign.
As for Quick Resume, improvements have been made to online services after jumping back into Halo Infinite using the feature, and players who didn’t receive their cosmetic items previously should now have them unlocked.
Here are the patch notes in full from Halo Waypoint:
December 15th Hotfix
Global
- Improvements to online service connections after re-entering Halo Infinite using Quick Resume on Xbox Series X|S consoles. Players should see quicker and more stable reconnections to our services.
Campaign
- Mjolinir Armor Locker customizations collected in Campaign are now consistently unlocked in the Multiplayer Customization menu.
- Players who did not receive their customizations, either due to losing their internet connection or using Quick Resume on Xbox Series X|S consoles, should now have their customizations unlocked.
- Xbox Achievement reliability has been improved in this update.
- Achievements no longer track progress toward their completion, but will unlock as expected when their conditions are met.
- If an Achievement’s conditions were met prior to this update but the Achievement did not unlock as completed yet, it should unlock after installing this update and continuing Campaign gameplay.
