Things are shaking up again at Gamigo. The publisher is offloading several of the games in its collection – all the ones tied to the Aeria Games portal. This means Aura Kingdom, Shaiya, Last Chaos, and Grand Fantasia are no longer part of the gamigo family. That doesn’t mean the games are shutting down.
Instead, three of the games have already found new homes. Last Chaos will be relocating to Fawkes Games, while Aura Kingdom and Grand Fantasia are moving to X-LEGEND. Shaiya is also expected to move to Fawkes Games, but there’s still some negotiating going on with Nexon.
Of course, a publisher shift means any game currency bought under that publisher will be no good when the transfer happens, so players are being asked to spend their Aeria Points before everything changes. The closure of the Aeria Games portal will take place in February 2023 (no specific day noted).
According to MassivelyOP, these may not be the only games getting the axe. A source informed them that gamigo recently went through a second round of layoffs for 2022. They poked around on LinkedIn and it seems that these layoffs range from executives to those in the trenches, so games like RIFT, and Trove may be cut sooner or later.
