Were you a fan of Fridaythe 13th: The Game? DId you like the asymertical, multiplayer gameplay? Were you enjoying the trips around Camp Crystal Lake before the game’s development came to a stop just as it was catching its stride?
If so you may want to keep an eye on what Sumo Nottingham and Gun interactive have coming up next. They’ll be taking their asymetical multiplayer experience and applying it to another classic horror franchise. This tiem it’s the 1974 classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
The title is appararently a favorite of Crative Director Ronnie Hobbs and the team will be staying very true to the original by putting the focus right where it belongs; the family. Leatherface, The Hitchhiker, The Cook…it doesn’t matter. Each has their role within the team…but sometimes you may just want to go lone wolf.
Don’t think the team is afraid to add some “new” to the franchise though…provided it fits. They’ve even got some help to make sure they stay authentic, Working with Kim Henkel has obviously been incredible. He has placed an extreme amount of trust in our team to deliver an experience that matches the tone and authenticity of the legendary film he helped create all those years ago,” said Hobbes.
