Today, we’re one step closer to the launch of Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 6.3. In January (most likely the 10th) Square Enix will drop a new batch of content for players to rush their way through. Today, we get some more information on what that content will consist of with the launch of the 6.3 Special Site.
Patch 6.3 continues the story of The Thirteenth and Zero as the team makes plans to continue searching for the dragon Azdaja. Of course, it won’t be as simple as just going back to the Thirteenth. There are hurdles, and they seem to be located in Garlemald. That also just so happens to be where the game’s next dungeon, Lapis Manalis, is located. The abandoned village in the Garlean mountains is where the reaper arts were once practiced. It seems a trip there is needed for the Scions to progress in their mission.
In addition to the MSQ and new dungeon, the update also introduces the next Unreal, Containment Bay P1T6. It’s time to face Sophia again.
Finally, the Special Site teases new dungeons that will be added to the Duty Support system. There are six of them and, with these, all the dungeons available in the free trial have been completed. They include the Great Gubal Library, the Aetherochemical Research Facility, the Antitower, Sohr Khai, Xelphatol, and Baelsar’s Wall.
