Dying Light 2 is celebrating the festive season with the Winter Tales event, turning many zombie types into holiday-themed variants and seeing the return of Baka at the Bazaar, stocked with some surprises.
Techland has announced that Winter Tales, this year’s holiday event for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, is now live and will run until January 3rd. Villedor has received a festive makeover and there are a few goodies waiting for those that brave The City’s corpse-ridden streets.
Free cosmetic items and holiday-themed weapons are now available in Dying Light 2
With the appearance of Naughty Bolters, Naughty Helpers, and Uncle Snows, candy within The City has gone missing. Players will need to hunt these mutations down through daily and weekly quests to restore order to the festive season. Your labours won’t go unrewarded either, as Baka the Unfortunate has returned to the Bazaar with a sack of festive goodies and surprises, such as The Nutcracker Bundle. This selection of in-game items contains Christmas-decorated weapons, jolly hats, holiday-themed masks, and more. Additionally, reaching merchant level 5 with Baka will see you rewarded with the Nutcracker skin, and collecting 20 stolen presents unlocks the Nutcracker Paraglider.
As a community challenge, if all players can collectively gather six million stolen presents, all players will unlock the Bauble Mace weapon. We think Dying Light 2 is one of the best Xbox zombie games, so now would certainly be a great time to jump in if you’re interested in it.
