Dead Island 2 is a little over four weeks away from launching on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and with the zombie apocalypse just out of reach, Dambuster has revealed the game’s intro cinematic to help us kill the time.
After bringing the Dead Island 2 release date forward by a week, Dambuster Studios is currently applying the final tweaks to its highly anticipated zombie slasher ready for its launch on April 21st for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The developer has now given us a peek at Dead Island 2’s opening cinematic to help ease the pain of waiting — or torture us!

Inflatable flamingos, poolside martinis, designer shades, and limousines; everything you need to show the world you’re basing the zombie apocalypse in LA for your franchise reboot. The Dead Island 2 opening cinematic gives off a warm relaxing feeling — if you can look past the blood splattered around the place, of course. Either way, we’re sure it would be a holiday you’d not soon regret, so money well spent!
Naturally, the cinematic doesn’t really give us any extra information about Dambusters’ zombie game, but if you’d like to find out more, check out our impressions from a recent Dead Island 2 preview. We really enjoyed it and will be impatiently waiting for launch day to finally arrive so we can find out if it’s one of the best Xbox zombie games.
