The first post launch content update for Fatshark’s Warhammer 40,000: Darktide kicks off today with the release of “The Signal” update on all platforms. The namesake feature of the update is a new mission, dubbed Comms-Plex 154/2f, that tasks Rejects with reaching the roof to establish a, well signal, and broadcast a message to the Imperium.
Quite a bit more comes with the update, too, including 2 new weapons (one for Zealots and one for Ogryns), refining being added to the crafting tools, a new Hunting Grounds condition, and finally the ability to create private matches. There’s also a MASSIVE list of balance changes and bug fixes in the full blog so you’ll want to brush up on those real quick.
How’s the game doing so far a few weeks after launch? Judging from the numbers, not too shabby. In just the first week of launch, Darktide saw over 1.3 million characters created and almost 4 billion heretics eliminated…that’s on top of the game’s current 30K Steam players in the last 24 hours.
