Luna Abyss’ latest trailer gives us a better look at its explosive gameplay and atmospheric set pieces beneath the surface of the mimic moon Luna, where cosmic horrors and disturbing secrets await any who enter it.
Bonsai Collective’s debut title is currently in development for PC and consoles, including Xbox Series X|S, and while we don’t yet have the release date or Luna Abyss achievements, the studio has dropped a new action-packed trailer.
Luna Abyss gameplay trailer
Luna Abyss is a story-driven, bullet-hell FPS in the same vein as Doom — which we think is one of the best games on Game Pass — and as such, features action-packed gameplay set within a hellish environment. In this case, it’s the depths of a mimic moon called Luna, where prisoners are sent to work off their sentences. Luna’s bowels hold many dark secrets, though, as the prisoners work amongst the ruins of a lost colony. With an AI prison guard by our side, we’ll explore the abandoned megastructures, sometimes in total darkness, uncover the mysterious downfall of the lost colony, and locate the origin of the mysterious voices calling out to us.
“Luna Abyss may be our first title as Bonsai, but everyone here has built up years of experience working on some amazing titles,” creative director Benni Hill said. “We wanted to pool all that talent together and create something that everyone can play; a narrative-driven bullet-hell FPS that offers a real challenge without chastising those who find other games in the genre too testing. We have a world we want everyone to experience, however they play.”
