Once again, the winter holidays are upon us and that means participating in in-game wintery activities in order to walk away with lots of goodies. Currently, one of those activities is going on in Blade & Soul. Yes, the Winter Soulstice event – otherwise known as the Winter Wonders Festival – has returned. The event is underway as of today and will run through January 19, offering players plenty of time to accumulate the snowballs needed to earn rewards. Don’t worry if you don’t manage to claim those rewards by that time. You’ll have until February 9th for that part.
For those who aren’t familiar with the event, it’s fairly simple. You’ll want to start by collecting snowballs. This is done via daily quests, login rewards, and daily challenges. A total of 15 snowballs can be earned each day via the daily challenges. Two are available each day as login rewards, provided players hit the 30 minute and two-hour playtime marks. (Unless the player is premium at which point they get a total of five.) As for daily quests, there are a total of 10 daily quests offering a reward of one snowball each. Provided everything is done, players are looking to get at least 27 snowballs out of the deal.
Once the snowballs are obtained, the next step is to use them to craft carrots, buttons, or branches, depending on which crafting guilds they’re dealing with. Since each item is needed for specific rewards, this means players are going to have to exchange them with each other. Be sure to wrap them first. Once players have these items, they can then exchange them for festive or useful goodies.
Players can also look forward to additional rewards, either as free gifts on December 25 – provided they log in that day, or by spinning the Wheel of Fate. There’s a full list of all available rewards on the Blade & Soul site, along with what’s required to obtain each in the patch notes.
