First up are the crossover stories, which become available on December 14th. These consist of a free story for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey — Those Who Are Treasured — and a free story for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, titled A Fated Encounter, both of which will have us “dive deeper into Kassandra’s journey” in the “first-ever crossover” event.
Then, we’ve got the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC, which launches on March 10th, 2022, and which Ubisoft describes as the “most ambitious expansion in franchise history.” Over on an Xbox Wire post, we learn a little more: “Dawn of Ragnarok sees Eivor step into the role of Odin once again and travel to the dwarven realm of Svartalfheim, where the immortal fire giant, Surtr, has kidnapped Odin’s son Baldr. Fantastical mythic realms are not the only new features players can expect: in Dawn of Ragnarok, Odin will have access to new divine powers that allow players to absorb enemy powers and use them to their advantage.” It will be available as a separate purchase, and you can access it if you’ve reached settlement level 4 and have also got Valka’s hut. Ubisoft adds that you should probably be around level 340 yourself “to avoid having a rough time in Svartalfheim.” If you buy the expansion before April 9th, you’ll get the in-game Twilight pack with the Dellingr’s Envoy raven skin, the Havardr Lynx mount, the Twilight gear set, and the Algurnir Dane Axe.
On top of all that, Ubisoft’s latest roadmap shows that we’ll also get a free time-limited event with the Yule Festival from December 16th to January 6th. It’s been a busy time for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as that all comes on top of a title update that will improve performance but which requires you redownload the entire game. …Ok, I think that’s everything… The crossover stories arrive on December 14th, while the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC arrives on March 10th.
